New Airport in Alanya

According to the Turkish Daily News Tepe Airports Holding ( TAV) won the right to operate Gazipasa Airport near Alanya and this has already started an Investment Boom in the property market in Alanya , Mahmutlar and the area in general. There is also a golf course planned for the area with Irish and UK investors involved. More golf courses are sure to follow.

According to Noreen Hynes Managing Director of Aquarius Properties this airport changes the scene for tourism in the area because until now tourists had to travel for over an 1 and a half hours to the airport but now the new airport will ensure they are in their hotels in Alanya in less than an hour. New hotels are also planned for Gazipasa as well as other tourism projects. The new golf course consists of 100 hectars of land 40 of which belong to the government and 60 hectars will be purchased from private owners. Many developers have been sitting on the fence in the past year waiting to see what was going to happen with the new airport and will now try to rush land deals through. According to local real estate people prices have climbed already by around 25%.
