About Costa Brava

The Costa Brava starts at the French Border and ends just after the village of Blanes. It is in the Catalan district of Spain. It is well known for its beaches and resorts, with a scenic and rugged coastline: a succession of coves, cliffs, and mountaintop lookouts dotted along. Some its areas have been massively dedicated to tourism, but others, such as Tossa de Mar, still retain their original size and fishing village charm.

Blanes is one of the most popular towns on the Costa Brava it is 70kms from Barcelona and 30kms from the airport of Girona. Calonge is another lovely town, very quiet but with all the facilities you need. There is a beautiful castle and a local flea market once a week. Palamos used to be a typical fisherman’s village but it has converted to a lively town with great connections to Barcelona by bus and train. It has many shops, which are open year round, a cinema, a marina and many other amenities.
